FAQS

-Does Chile get a lot of snow?

Yes, usually it gets a lot of snow. One good proof of that is that most of the ski resorts doesn’t have artificial snow at all. Of course the climate is complicated and what we’ve been observing the last seasons is that the winter arrives a bit late, but also leaves quite late too. That’s why we start our tours in late July or August until September to ensure a good snowpack.

-How is the terrain we’ll ride/ski in Chile?

Most of the terrain we’ll ride/ski is above the tree line, very nice bowls, spines, open faces and in the case of Nevados de Chillan we’ll also ski/ride very nice well spaced forest that reminds us of Japan.

-How long are the drives during the tour when we change to the different places we’ll stay?

The longest drive is the one from Santiago airport to our first stop that is something like 5 hours depending on the final decision for the first stop. Then the other drives are always shorter, 2 to 3 hours.

-How cold it usually is in the spots we’ll ski/ride?

It can get pretty cold, but not extremely cold. Something like between +5 and -10 celsius, of course the wind does his job and in some stormy days the windchill can be up to -20.

-Is Chile a dangerous country?

No, Chile is not a dangerous country. A few zones specially in Santiago are not recommended for tourists, but like in pretty much every major city in the world. In the areas we’ll be it’s completely safe.

-What about connectivity? is there WIFI or good mobile internet everywhere we’ll go?

Yes, internet speed in Chile is pretty good and we’ll have good wifi in all the places we’ll stay. Also we provide you with a local carrier prepaid SIM card with good data speed even in most areas in the mountain or on the road.
