LIWA CHILE AUGUST 2018

From August 17th to 27th.

And finally the time came, I, Laura, the kitchen rat, official caretaker, Gabriel, the powder guru and meteorological encyclopedia, Isaac, in charge of capturing the best moments with his drone, Peter and Tasio, gathered in Las Trancas, Nevados de Chillan

They say that luck is sought and we believe so. It was arriving and kissing the saint for our first adventurers! But it was no coincidence, we were following the forecasts and decided to start in Nevados since it was the place that would receive more snow, and it was as we expected!

After the first day of powder it was important to calculate the timing well, since another storm was coming. So we decided to head to Corralco to spend two days there enjoying the imposing Lonquimay volcano and its Araucarias. We had time to also explore the surroundings of the Llaima Volcano, an incredible place!

The forecasts worked like a Swiss clock and we headed back to Nevados, the storm of the season was waiting for us !! We had everything, day pucking snow enjoying the forests, sunny and cold days to take advantage of the powder and even Splitboard day to explore the surroundings of the resort.

And since Chile is not just mountains, we set off to the coast to spend the last two days of the tour, Cobquecura, there we go!

The Chilean coast and especially this area of ​​the Ñuble region is incredibly beautiful and wild. Spending a day and a half there was the icing on the cake of a trip that our own adventurers defined as unforgettable and where powder, landscape, culture and nature were combined in their purest form. This is how we would define Chile, a place that you can't miss!
